What a remap does for a diesel Ford Focus II
Nothing is bolted on in a diesel remap. The ECU's stored maps for injection quantity, rail pressure and turbo boost are rewritten within safe limits, and because diesels make power through torque, that is where the improvement is most obvious.
How the Ford Focus II TDCI 1.6 109 compares
Among the 3 diesel Focus II engines we have figures for, the TDCI 1.6 109 ranks 2nd for power gain, exactly the Focus II diesel average.
